For those of you new to the blog, entering competitions is one of my hobbies. You can read about why I love comping as a hobby in this previous post. If you fancy taking up comping as a hobby yourself why not check out this post on where to start in becoming a comper.
You may have seen a few months back that l have set myself the challenge of winning as many prizes as I can towards Christmas. So how is it going so far? October marks month three of my Christmas Comping Challenge and has seen another few Christmas pressies stashed away.
FidgetBum Compression Blanket
I’ve been wanting to try one of these out on my eldest for a while as he responds so well to his compression vest so I was really excited to spot this competition on Chewigem’s Facebook page, especially as it was really low entry. You can read a full review of the Fidgetbum here.
The Bolds Christmas Cracker
This was from my good old favourite Toppsta – it’s a book of festive puzzles, fact files, quizzes, etc based on the fantastic series of stories by Julian Clary which my eldest loves. This will be going in his Xmas stocking. If you’re not familiar with Toppsta, check out my previous post on How to win books with Toppsta.
Another comper very kindly posted this on the Lucky Learners Facebook page. It was from a creative competition on Olivia Burton’s Instagram page where you had to put up a photo of someone you wanted to thank along with the hashtag #TimeToGiveThanks. It’s running until November 15th and with 1000 tins of Roses to give away it’s definitely worth a shot. They are full size tins and the packaging is beautiful. We took one box to my mother-in-law as a thank you and put the other one away for Christmas.
Festive Gift Fair Tickets
Winning tickets to this has become something of a yearly tradition. It’s a fun day out of Xmas shopping at the NEC and really gets me in festive mood. There are usually quite a few comps to win tickets so with a bit of googling I’ve managed to win tickets to go for the last 3 years.
Orion Lost book
Another Toppsta book to finish the month- it looks like quite a good one so we’ll see what the boy makes of it. It’s particularly exciting in that it’s not even published until January next year!
Good luck with the last push towards Christmas folks, if you are looking to win big why not check out my recent post The Joys Of Comping: Current Year’s Supply Competitions and see if you can win yourself a year’s supply of lovely goodies.
